The Department of Accounting has passed three basic stages in its history. It started in 1402 AH as a department in the Department of Administrative Sciences. The department then split into an independent academic section in 1404 AH. In 1419 AH, it became one of the departments of the Faculty of Arabic Language and Social Sciences. Khalid. Each of these stages had a different study plan.

The Department of Business Administration is one of the departments that is interested in teaching and developing the administrative sciences related to the business activity in all its sections, which includes a constellation of outstanding faculty members in administrative, financial, economic and human resources sciences.

On 3/7/1429 H, the Supreme Decree issued an approval NO.5150 to establish the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences (currently College of Business) in order to expand King Khalid University’s functional areas based on the recommendation made by the Higher Education Council. The Department of Management Information Systems is one of the departments of the College. As the home of business students, the department is planning to establish itself as one of the leading Business disciplines in the country within the next few years.
